“Are You The Next Big Star?” hosts and judges revealed!

“Are You The Next Big Star?” will premier on GMA7 on Saturday, May 16 after Pinoy Records. This is the replacement of GMA7 to Philippine Idol which they did not renew this season because it did not rate as expected.

Are You The Next Big Star? is hosted by Regine Velasquez and will be co-hosted by Kempee de Leon.

The contestants are both amateur and professional singers as long as they don’t have any existing recording contract and mainstream appearances from 2008 up to the present.

There will be two winners one for both male and female contestants. Prizes to be given awayare P1M from SM Supermalls, Management contractand recording contract from GMA Records.

There were more than 10,000 hopefuls who were screened at SM Baliwag, SM Batangas and SM Marikina, 150 passed tha audition phase. The next 16 weeks they will be narrowed down and they will be tested in their rehearsals and performances.

The five judges are Pops Fernandez, Randy Santiago, Anne Quintos (vocal coach and member of The Company), Mon Faustino (musical director) and Danny Tan (record producer and composer).
