Jericho Rosales on winning the Best Actor Award for the 25th Star Awards for Movies!

“My God! Ah, hindi ko po alam kong anong nararamdaman ko ngayon. Hindi ko po sukat akalain na mabibigyan ako ng ganitong parangal,”is what Jericho Rosales said as he recieved his Award as the Best Actor for the movie Baler. ”Ah, maraming salamat po sa PMPC, sa Star Awards for Movies for giving me this trophy. Alam n’yo po, kapag dumarating ang Awards Night, kinakabahan po ako lagi. Everytime po kasi, lagi po akong nano-nominate at balik po nu’n sa akin, kinakabahan po ako.Kapag dumarating po ang awards night, sabi ko, parang ayokong dumating, ayokong um-attend. Kasi nga, sobrang kinakabahan talaga ako. Natatakot ako, (laughs) kasi, tulad po nung nakaraang Metro Manila Film Festival, sa totoo lang po, lahat po nung kasamahan ko sa pelikulang Baler that night ay nagkaroon ng award, may mga tropeo sila, ako lang po talaga ang wala. Hindi ko po ine-expect ang award na ito. Isang karangalan na naman po ito para sa akin, para sa pelikulang Baler. I was asked noon na why not gawin ko ang pelikulang Baler at makakatulong sa akin ang pelikula. Sabi ko, okay, gagawin ko. Kaya nagpapasalamat ako sa bumubuo ng pelikulang Baler, sa mga kapwa ko artista sa pelikula, sa production at sa lahat-lahat ng taong nagtitiwala sa akin simula’t mula, maraming,maraming salamat. Sa ABS-CBN family ko, sa Viva, sa lahat, salamat!”
