2010 List of Holidays in The Philippines!

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo recently released Proclamation 1841 declaring list of 10 regular holidays, four special non-working holidays and a special holiday for 2010..
List of Regular Holidays holidays in 2010:
New Year’s Day (January 1),
Maundy Thursday (April 1),
Good Friday (April 2),
Araw ng Kagitingan (April 9),
Labor Day (May 1),
Independence Day (June 14, Monday nearest June 12),
National Heroes Day (August 30, last Monday of August),
Bonifacio Day (November 29, Monday nearest November 30),
Christmas Day (December 25, Saturday), and
Rizal Day (December 27, Monday nearest December 30).
Under Republic Act 9492, holidays, except those that are religious in nature, are moved to the nearest Monday unless otherwise modified by law, order or proclamation.
Special non-working days:
Ninoy Aquino Day (August 23, Monday nearest Aug August 23),
All Saints Day (Nov. 1, Monday), as well as
December 24 and
December 31, the last day of the year.
The 1986 People Power Revolution anniversary (February 22, Monday nearest February 25) is a special holiday for schools
Eid’l Fitr (End of Ramadan) and Eid’l Adha, to be announced later, dates reckoned from the lunar calendar.
PGMA also signed Republic Act 9645 declaring July 27 of every year as special national “working holiday” in recognition of the founding anniversary of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Day.

Dapat bang hindi natin iboto ang mga senador at kanilang mga pamilya na nagtangkang hindi paimbistigahan ang C5 road controversy? May tinatago ba sila kung bakit hindi nila gustong paimbistigahan?
Dapat bang huwag nating iboto ang mga senador at mga pamilya nila na tumakbo sa eleksyon ngayon na nagtangkang i cover up ang C5 road project investigation? May inilihim ba sila tungkol dito

It was mentioned na holiday po tomorrow April 9 (Fri) and that is final. Thank you po for the information. Pero is the sandwiched April 10 (Sat) also declared as a Holiday. May difference po kasi ito sa sweldo ng mga may pasok sa araw na ito. Plus some schools are starting summer classes this Saturday. Hope someone could reply po as soon as possible. Thank you!

hindi naman holiday ang ELECTION DAY. 1st time nyo ba bumoto? never ginawang holiday. pinapayagan lang ng company ang halfday. or late dahil bumoto.
gusto ko malaman kung may pasok ba sa Apr 30? hindi ba iuurong ang May 1 sa Friday? Monday ba ilalagay which is May 3?

naku naku baka kayo ho ang 1st time bumoto, as far as I can remember HOLIDAY talaga pag election day!!!! parang fiesta nga eh kung election day ang daming tao sa daan daming flyers, posters, kalat, mga nagtitinda, traffic sa kung saan may public schools,at hello hindi kaya madali bumoto, hahanapin mo pa pangalan mo at ang presinto mo na pagkalayolayo, at may mga nakikipagaway pa… ang init init pa nyan… paano na kung hindi holiday yan didiretso ka nang ofc buti sana kung malapit lng ofc mo e kung ang layo layo may time ka pa kaya maligo magbihis pagdating mo cguro sa ofc nyan malamang sarado kc traffic din yan

Under Proclamation 2020, Arroyo said declaring May 10 (Monday) as holiday would encourage Filipinos to exercise their freedom and right to vote for the next leaders of the country.
i would like to know if last APRIL 12, Monday, is a local holiday for Muslims? or maybe specifically in Sulu?

Dami ng problem ng Philippnes idinagdag pa ang pag-iisip ng holiday pati History binabago, ultimo birthdays ng mga heroes. Tapos wait kayo one month ubos na investor at small companies at wala ng mareregular sa trabaho. contractual na lang. Wala na ring matututuhan estudyante kasi lagi walang pasok.

Do you think Pres. Noy Aquino would maintain the exact dates for holidays? I believe he does not approve moving the dates for holiday purposes. If this is the case, then, we don’t have a holiday on August 23.

How can I confirm when Ninoy Aquino Day is? I am working on our school calendar now and in the calendar provided by DepEd, Ninoy Aquino Day is on the 21st. And yet here on the net, it’s on the 23rd.

Mukhang malabo statement mo na nagbayad ng 100 bilyon si erap kay bro. eddie para C5 road. eh kay Villar nga project yun eh. nagmamarunong ka lang ata eh wala ka naman artifacts.

I hope the present government will take into consideration the Aug. 23 declared special holiday, many people have already made vacation plans for the long weekend and are looking forward to it esp. when its already so near…They should have decided earlier.. and If they do not agree with the Holiday Economics they should start to review before the end of the year and implement Next Year! so as not to spoil the people’s vacation plans for the year…

bakit ganun…naproclaim na yung mga holidays for this year2010 taz nagpalit lang ng president binago na rin pati yun…nakakasira ng plano lalo na in business matters…ang isang bagay na naideclare na hindi na dapat binabawi lalo na kung galing sa mataas…ibig sabihin lang talaga nito..WALANG STANDARD ANG GOVERNMENT!!!!
