Erik Santos and Sitti in “Extra Ordinary Songs” concert this November!

“Extraordinary Songs” concert with the country’s Bossa Nova diva, Sitti Navarro and Erik Santos “Star in a Million” winner is set for Nov 21, Saturday, 9pm at Aliw Theater.
This is another first for the two singers who are singing in different genre, one is a balladeer and the other specializes in Bossa Nova.
Years after Erick Santos won as big winner in “The Star in a Million,” people still cannot stop raving about his powerful rendition of “This Is the Moment” from the musical “Jekyll and Hyde.” Recently, he was picked to be the first Filipino artist to record a full album of songs by American singer-songwriter Jim Brickman.
On other hand, Sitti popularized low-key and relaxing bossa. A true trendsetter, Sitti’s 2006 debut album “Café Bossa” touched off a musical revolution of sorts and spawned dozens of copycats. Single-handedly, she redefined Bossa Nova music for the current generation of music-lovers.
“Extraordinary Songs” is for the benefit of Support Our Troops, Inc. and the victims of the recent Ondoy and Pepeng typhoons.
