Megastar Sharon Cuneta stars in “Mano Po 6: My Mother’s Love,” Regal Entertainment’s 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival!
This includes the star-studded powerhouse cast that includes Zsa Zsa Padilla, Christopher de Leon, Heart Evangelista, Ciara Sotto, Dennis Trillo, Nicole Uysiuseng and John Manalo
Directed by Joel Lamangan and written by Roy Iglesias.
Sharon Cuneta plays the role of a very rich pure Chinese who married a not-so-rich half-Chinese (Christopher De Leon). A moving story of a mother’s love for her daughter, it’s her desire to get back a rebellious daughter (Heart Evangelista) at all cost. This compelling family drama strongly delves on relationships and the bond within the Chinese clan. It also espouses the family values and the rich Chinese culture and tradition.
The movie was partially shot in China as added footage gives it more an authentic Chinese feel and audiovisual appeal. Shooting for three days in history-loaded locations in Beijing like the Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, Great Wall and picture-perfect contemporary attractions of Sino pride such as the National Olympic Stadium known as Bird’s Nest complete with the pomp and pageantry of firecrackers, balloons, banners and a festive lion dance.
