Call Amy Perez, a.k.a. Tiyang Amy, host/referee of the landmark TV5 show Face to Face which is aptly called ang nag-iisang talakserye sa telebisyon because that’s what the format is — the guests venting their ire on each other the way palengkeras do: hurling invectives (bleep-bleeped!) at each other, punching (if males) each other, pulling (if females) each other’s hair, kicking each other, throwing slippers and shoes (or sometimes their chairs) at each other, inflicting other forms of violence on each other…short of killing each other (but they would if they were not prevented from doing it by the two bouncer-looking guards).

TV5′s Star Factor auditions dates and venue!

TV5’s upcoming reality-based talent search Star Factor will be formally launched tomorrow, July 25, with day-long auditions to be held at SM Mall of Asia’s Music Hall (from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.).

TV5 introduced cutting-edge yet another innovation in live television news coverage at the inauguration of President Noynoy Aquino last week with the use of the News5 Live Pack. The News5 Live Pack is a high definition camera and transmitter set-up that can be carried by a single cameraman wearing a regular-sized backpack. With the new equipment, TV5 is able to broadcast live, whether fixed or moving, from practically anywhere in the country using wireless broadband technology.
